🗽2019 NYC Marathon Tips and Guide🏅

➡️Get enough sleep! No-brainier here. A good night's sleep will help you physically and mentally. Daylight Saving's will give you an extra hour...take advantage of it!

➡️WEAR AN OLD HOODIE! It will be in the 40's tomorrow morning and you will be waiting at least an hour or two before the start. For security purposes, you will have to show your bib at all times so I suggest a zip-up. You will be able to donate what you wear in a donation bin at your corral before you run!

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲:
1-2 (SI): Your excitement and adrenaline will take you across the highest incline you will face. Work on your pace and focus on crossing that bridge!

3-15 (BK-QNZ): A very common error is wasting your energy. Save it! You will need it at the end. Feed off the AMAZING CROWD but don't go off your normal pace. Shout out to my club Queens Distance Runners at mile 14! You won't miss them!

16-20 (MAN): You're almost there! Straight stretch along 1st ave. This is the part where if you want a negative pace, you may start to dial it up!

20-26.2 (BX-CP): Bx welcomes you with energy,music and warmth. The crowd are empathetic to your pain and will continue to cheer loud! The last 3 miles have hills. As you conquer them, keep your posture straight, focus on your breathing and cadence. Congratulations! You just finished one of the best races in the world. Enjoy the moment, you deserve it
