There's a ton of data out in the world that supports the idea that the more you sleep, the better quality of life you will have! Same goes with getting as much of your daily recommended levels of nutrients from food

When it comes to training, getting the right amount of sleep and nutrition not only increases your quality of life, it can also decrease your risk of injury

In a 2017 study, researchers questioned 340 elite adolescent athletes about their activity level, nutritional information and amount of sleep they have. They then followed up with them after the school season and collected some more data

It was determined that groups of individuals who slept well had a 61% less of a chance of sustaining an injury while those who ate well had 64% less of a chance too

It is important to know that this is a small sample and the study did not specify the sport and position of the athletes which can also contribute to their risk of injury

However, this is just one of the many studies that ultimately have the same conclusion: the more you sleep, the better you eat, the higher the quality of life you will have!
