Do You Still Have Nagging Ankle Pain?

 

Today we are demonstrating a fun way to work on ankle proprieception post injury

Ankle injuries are very common in volleyball players (hence why I used a volleyball for irony) and other sports that requires repetitive multi-axle forces to the joint

I am a big fan of this exercise because it's fun and also a bit challenging for the patient!! You can start off on a flat surface with shoes on, then without shoes and then find a towel and stand on it!

Whenever I work with someone with ankle issues, I commonly hear "I'm afraid that once it heals, I'll be scared to use it!" It is our job as therapists to give patients the confidence to get back to doing what they love to do as soon and efficiently as possible
