Adductor Side Plank Exercise

Looking to add variations to your leg day? Try this exercise!

The adductors (groin muscles) plays a huge role in hip stability for runners to volleyball players to dancers and everyone in between. The group of muscles that are in the groin area are called the pectineus, adductor brevis, adductor longus, adductor magnus and gracilis. Although they are all located in the inside part of your leg, each muscle starts and ends in different areas. They each have their own particular function but as a group, the bring your legs inward.

It is a muscle that is often forgotten when someone thinks about training legs.

This exercise can be challenging at first (as with any new exercise you do) so try it without the optional knee and hip flexion first
